Dear Our Time Parent:

Each child has tremendous creative potential! Now is the time to tap into that potential by offering activities which offer flexibility, change, or rearrangement. Kindermusik classes are full of such activities. “All By Myself” is one activity you can expand upon at home. By asking your child “What can you do all by yourself?” you can encourage your child to think through his day and consider the things he can do (or even might like to be able to do)! Sing about them, ask your child to act out the ideas, even dramatize ideas such as “go grocery shopping.”

By helping your child “see” his creative potential, you are helping him develop his creativity and understand that his ideas are valuable.
