Young Child/Semester 3/Week 4/Lesson 34

Dear Young Child 3 Parent:

This week’s class was a good mix of concept review (“Merrily We Roll Along” line note/space note game, Note Name Review) and concept introduction. Ask your child what type of note sounds like two quarter notes tied together (half note).

Also, we performed a “Hop, Old Squirrel” ensemble today. What an accomplishment! Good ensemble playing requires a great deal of focus and concentration. This group of children has certainly matured in their ability to work together. It is a pleasure for me to see (and hear) what they are able to achieve!
